5 Hilton Honors

5 Hilton Honors

You can love to travel without having unlimited funds and oodles of time off. In fact, sometimes it can be more meaningful when you have to plan, budget and wait. Now that said, it’s certainly easier when you can take something out of the equation. Using points is one way to manage the finances, but finding the best properties to do that can be a challenge (especially if chain properties aren’t your preference). Because we’ve lost hours, maybe even days, on this subject we wanted to share our favorite properties to use Hilton Points - just in time for Spring Break.

Hilton London

Conrad St. James, London

London is a wonderful place to use points because let’s be honest, Europeans have pretty high standards when it comes to travel amenities and accommodations. Even the chain hotels tend to be smaller sized properties, and while the rooms may be smaller as well, it’s very likely you will be out exploring anyway. The Conrad London is in the prime location to serve as your “home away from home” when sight-seeing and with 15 suite options, its a great choice for families.

Hilton La Quinta.jpg

La Quinta Resort, Palm Springs

The La Quinta resort is such a magical place for families. The casual desert vibe can’t be matched. Our favorite way to spend an evening is at the top of plaza, listening to live music, enjoying a few Cadillac margaritas by the fire, while the kids run on the grassy hill nearby. During the day there is never a shortage of pool time with 41 pools to explore. The spa is one of the best and a must do, but be sure to book your treatments before your stay as they book up quick!

Grand Wailea and Ho’olei, Hawaii

Get ready to practice Aloha at this lush, magical property on the west coast of Maui. Dine at one of the seven delicious restaurants, take a dip in one of the gorgeous pools or ride down the lazy river, and don't miss out on the Spa Grande experience - a highlight and voted a top 10 spa in the U.S.! The hydrotherapy circuit will leave you relaxed and ready to explore more of the beautiful Valley Isle. The Ho’olei is a blissful villa style option that neighbors the famed Grand Wailea.

Mahogany Bay Resort, Belize

Having only been open for a year, this Curio property on the Ambergris Caye feels more like a quaint boutique hotel than a Hilton Resort. Family friendly cottages, great food and a luxurious private beach club. The Mahogany Bay is a Hilton property disguised as a small island inn in the middle of the Caribbean. With airfare to Belize at a premium, using Hilton points for this property may just be the push you need to check this out this bucket list destination.

Boca Beach Club.jpg

Boca Beach Club, Florida

I love this modern property because it feels more like a low key beachfront country club than a hotel chain. Plus if its restaurant variety or lux spa facilities you’re after, you can take the shuttle to the larger Mediterranean Waldorf Astoria nearby, to experience their expansive amenities — best of both worlds, boutique feel and resort access. We also featured this property in 5 Florida Beaches.
